Dr. Courtney McLaughlan was born and raised in Southern California and completed her undergraduate degree in Animal Sciences at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and then obtained her veterinary degree at Atlantic Veterinary College, Prince Edward Island, Canada. After graduation, she completed a rotating small animal internship in Ventura, California, then a small animal surgical internship the following year in Los Angeles. With training finished, Dr. McLaughlan started working as a small animal practitioner in the Central Valley of California.

Dr. McLaughlan and her family have recently moved to Bend and are excited to live and work in a new city. When not caring for her patients, she enjoys day hiking, backpacking, hot springs, skiing, and trying new foods and restaurants.
